Thunderbird Opens Calgary Office

 VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA, March 27, 2007---Thunderbird Energy Corp. (TSX-V: TBD "Thunderbird") announced today that it has opened an office in Calgary, Alberta which will serve as the headquarters for the Company's Canadian and US operations. This move places Thunderbird in the heart of the Canadian oil and gas industry with direct access to key services, technical support and many of the major players in the Canadian energy investment community.

Thunderbird's new Vice President of Operations, Michael Worthington, P. Eng. will be based in Calgary. Michael has managed a variety of projects with senior Canadian oil and gas companies and Energy Trusts including Canadian Natural Resources, StarPoint Energy Trust and most recently Harvest Energy Trust. At Harvest, Mike served as exploitation engineer responsible for 11,000 boe/day of gross production comprising deep sour gas, shallow oil and shallow gas.

With offices in Vancouver and Calgary, Thunderbird Energy holds an interest in two producing fields -- the Gordon Creek natural gas field in Carbon County, Utah and the Rush County, Kansas light oil project. Thunderbird's other holdings include an oil and gas exploration project adjacent to the Stoney Creek field in New Brunswick.
