Thunderbird Completes Equity Financing

 Vancouver, British Columbia, March, 2007---Thunderbird Energy Corp. (TSX-V: TBD "Thunderbird") announced today that the $1,050,000 brokered private placement announced February 9, 2007 has closed. All securities issued, including any shares which may be issued upon the exercise of warrants, are subject to a hold period expiring July 17, 2007.

Thunderbird also announced that it has terminated its investor relations contract with Clark Avenue Company.

Thunderbird Energy is a Canadian based oil and gas company that owns a 50% interest in the Gordon Creek producing natural gas field in the Carbon County, Utah and a 50% interest in a producing oil project that is presently being drilled in Rush County, Kansas. Thunderbird's other holdings include a New Brunswick oil and gas exploration project adjacent to the Stoney Creek field.
