Shareholders Appoint Jim Podruski to the Board of Directors and Approve a Change of the Company's name to Thunderbird Energy Corporation
| ||MBA Resources Corp. announced today that at its annual general meeting held yesterday, shareholder increased the number of directors to 6 and elected Jim Podruski of Calgary, Alberta as a new member of the Board of Directors. Mr. Podruski holds a MSc. in geology from the University of Southern California and brings to MBA Energy over 25 years of domestic and international experience. "Jim Podruski will be a tremendous addition to our Board at this very exciting stage of MBA's development," stated Cameron White, President of MBA. "He brings to us a wide range of experience and expertise having worked in the Rockies, the Maritimes, and a variety of international locales." |
MBA also announced today that the shareholders at the AGM approved a change of the Company's name to "Thunderbird Energy Corporation". "The acquisition of the Gordon Creek natural gas field ushered in a new era for our Company and we felt it appropriate to adopt a new name and new corporate image that we could really grow with", stated Cam White. "The Thunderbird is a perfect fit as it is a powerful image with western origins."
The name change will be implemented within the next few days, following receipt of final regulatory approvals.
MBA Resources is a Canadian based natural resource company that owns a 50% interest in the Gordon Creek natural gas field in the State of Utah, USA. MBA's other holdings include an oil and gas exploration project adjacent to the Stoney Creek field in New Brunswick, Canada and a gold exploration project adjacent to the Sleeper Mine in Humboldt County, Nevada.
