| ||February 21, 2006, (Vancouver, British Columbia) MBA Resources Corp. (TSX-V: MBA) announced today that it has retained Stoakes Consulting Group of Calgary, Alberta, to review the Company's operations on the East Coast of Canada. Stoakes Consulting is a based geological consulting firm that has been providing professional and technical services to the domestic and international energy industry for 20 years.|
Stoakes will initially review the results from the test well (the "Contact/MBA Gautreau Well") drilled by MBA Resources and Contact Exploration Inc. (TSX-V: CEX) near Moncton New Brunswick last year. The well encountered both oil and gas, but the subsurface pressures were not sufficient to generate commercial production without further stimulation. The well is currently shut in pending an analysis of possible stimulation techniques. MBA earned a 50% working interest in the 2500 acre prospect and holds certain participation rights in surrounding acreage held by Contact.
Stoakes has also been asked to work with MBA to develop a 2006 exploration plan for the prospect and the surrounding area, which will include monitoring the heightened level of exploration activity in the region. Contact Exploration has announced its intention to immediately commence drilling on the Stoney Creek field, which is adjacent to the Contact/MBA Gautreau prospect and shares very similar geology. Contact Exploration, Stealth Ventures (TSV-V: SLV) and Corridor Resources (TSX-V: CDH) have all announced significant capital expenditure programs in the region for 2006 which have been met with very positive responses from the investment community.
